Red Jungle Fowl

  They were brought to our ranch a few years ago from Missouri to run wild in the avocado orchards to help control bugs.  Most  have been very successful on there own.  The hens lay around 12 eggs, 19 days later nearly every chick hatches.(Chickens hatch at 21 Days.)  At about a week they can fly around 3  feet.  I have seen adult birds fly as high as 25 feet and as far as 150 ft.  They look like chickens but are not the same.

They are great to have around any ranch or small acreage. Not in town!

Hens              $ 40 each

Young birds $ 30 each.

Fowl must be picked up in Morro Bay not shipped. 

Fowl are sold for farm pets and egg layers only.
